Bobby & Whitney’s Engagement Photos

A few weeks ago, we made the trip up the Washington, D.C. area to do some engagement photos with our wonderful friends, Bobby and Whitney. We met them at Manassas National Battlefield hoping to capture the last of the fall colors. For the second day in a row, Mother Nature gave us great weather to work with.

Bobby is a good childhood friend of my husband, Nathan. In fact, he was Nathan’s best man at our wedding a few years ago. It was about that same time, we started to hear about Whitney. We would see the Facebook posts and get the occasional text message. It was obvious this was serious. When we finally met Whitney, we could instantly see what Bobby loved about her. She’s beautiful and outgoing with a great sense of humor. And she enjoys going to baseball games (If you know Bobby or Nathan at all, you know that’s a requirement for both of them!). Needless to say, we were not at all surprised when we heard the great news that they were engaged.

As I have mentioned before, it can be hard living in North Carolina and being so far from family and friends, especially when such wonderful things are going on. That’s why we were excited to get up to Virginia and do this engagement session with Bobby and Whitney. It was great to visit and spend the day with them.

Of course, we had to include their pups, Sammy and Taylor, in a few photos. After all, they are part of the family!

There was quite a bit of laughing that afternoon both in front and behind the camera.

Whitney came up with the fabulous idea to sit on this bridge. I love love love the photos we got here. The lighting was so pretty!

A very happy family! Wait… is that a squirrel?Bobby decided to make himself comfortable. This is probably one of my favorite photos from the shoot. It’s so romantic and sweet!

Bobby and Whitney, thank you so much for asking us to do your engagement photos. We had such a great time hanging out with you! We love you both and can’t wait to be part of the festivities in September!
I also wanted to mention that Bobby is a fantastic graphic designer. He helped me create the Alycat logos we use. If you ever need any graphic design help, please let me know, and I can put you in touch with him!
