adventure
What is your dream wedding? We all have different answers to this question, but they usually involve family gatherings and possibly a religious service. For Cody and Hannah, their dream wedding involved a frozen waterfall and a hike with their best friends. We were honored to break out our hiking boots to capture their dream adventure elopement.
For those who know Cody and Hannah, their decision to do an adventure elopement did not come as a surprise. They live for the outdoors and the time they can spend out there together. Their awesome hiking-themed engagement shoot from last fall was just a taste of what they were planning for their big day. Honestly, it could not have been any more perfect.
Hannah had mentioned to me that she wanted a waterfall. If there was snow, even better! They had set their date for February 26, their dating anniversary. We searched around for places that may still have snow that late into winter that was drivable from Raleigh. A recommendation led us to Cascade Falls in Virginia. We could not have asked for a better location.
Following the ceremony, Hannah, Cody and I decided to hike out using the lower trails along the river while the rest of the group headed back to the parking lot. It was magical! Around every corner was an even more impressive spot to stop for photos. We probably could have spent all day wandering around and getting lost in nature.
Laughing is contagious. So if you plan to be around Cody and Hannah for any amount of time, you need to be ready to laugh a lot!
Toasts and cupcakes: an incredible end to and incredible day!
Congratulations Hannah and Cody on your perfect day! We were so honored to have been a part of it. Here’s to many more years filled with love, laughter and the great outdoors!
