We’ve had the opportunity to shoot several Town of Cary events, but none have been as moving as its very first Juneteenth celebration. Residents braved the hot, midday sun to listen to music and a number of presentations. Some performers came as far away as Washington D.C. to be a part of the town’s first Juneteenth event. It was an incredible afternoon filled with culture, love and remembrance.
