Becky & Chris Get Married!

This summer, my best friend Becky got married. I had the incredible honor of standing by her side as one of her bridesmaids as she married her best friend, Chris. I also had the incredible honor (and challenge) of being her photographer. So it is with great pleasure that I share some of the photos from their beautiful wedding at Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania.

Becky and I met more than 12 years ago while moving into our freshman dorms at Elon University. We hit it off right away. Given that we grew up in neighboring towns in New Jersey, it amazes me that we were put together as roommates. Elon must have known that these two Jersey girls just belonged together.

When I became engaged, Becky was the second person I called. On my wedding day, she was my rock. Anything that needed to be done, Becky did it. And when I learned the next day that my grandmother had passed away, Becky stayed at the beach house with Nathan and me to help us as we made plans to travel up to New Jersey. I can’t begin to tell you how much her friendship means to me. Which is why when Becky asked me if I could possibly be both a bridesmaid and her photographer, I knew I had to make what seemed impossible happen.

Isn’t she just gorgeous?!

Becky and Chris decided to do a first look as well as group photos before the ceremony. While I have photographed first looks before, this one was quite special. The look on Chris’s face when he saw Becky was priceless.

So what can I say about Chris? He is an awesome guy: super smart and funny. Chris is truly the perfect guy for Becky, and I can’t imagine anyone making her as happy as he has.

Side note: my husband is amazing! Not only has he developed into a talented photographer, he handled the pressure of being a solo shooter several times throughout the night effortlessly. Seriously, aren’t these photos stunning?

As I mentioned before, Becky and Chris got married at the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. The setting was beautiful, the weather was perfect. You couldn’t ask for a better day.

A big thank you to Nicole Mitchell, Becky & Chris’s sister-in-law, who volunteered to help shoot the ceremony with Nathan so that I could walk with Becky. You will see a few of her ceremony photos on here as well.

I love this photo so much!

Nick, Chris’s twin brother gave one heck of a best man speech.

Then the props came out and the ties came off. It was quite the party.

Soft pretzels and Tastykakes! Can’t think of a better way to end a Philly wedding!

Becky and Chris, Nathan and I love you both so much! It was such an honor to play such an important role in your big day. I hope these photos bring you joy for many years to come.
