One of the events I look forward to covering every May is the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship hosted by the Town of Cary at the USA Baseball Complex. I normally spend a week working with the NCAA and the Town of Cary on team photos and the championship game.
I always enjoy meeting each team at the beginning of the week and following their progress through the tournament. The players always say hi and smile for the camera, which makes this photographer very happy. This year was no different. Colorado Mesa and Southern Indiana both had fabulous teams. And the championship game was an extra-innings thriller that will not soon be forgotten. Here are some of my favorite shots from the evening.
